Christopher George Nelson, 34, of Superior died on October 16, 2017 because of medical issues. He was born October 7, 1983 in Phoenix, AZ, the son of Tom and Maureen Nelson. He graduated from Monarch High School in 2002 and attended Cabrillo College in Aptos, CA.
Chris was an employee of Mental Health Partners in Lafayette (Boulder). He was an avid volleyball & softball player and enthusiast.
Chris is survived by his parents Tom and Maureen Nelson of Superior, his brother Paul Michael Nelson of Santa Cruz, CA, his paternal grandfather George Merwin Nelson, aunts and uncles: Tamara Nelson & Jeff Warne, Michael & Theresa Brennan, Gary Brennan & Joan Grey, Nick & Ann Marie Purcell and loving cousins.
He is also survived by countless neighbors, co-workers and friends who will miss him dearly.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Crist Mortuary, 3395 Penrose Place, Boulder, CO 80301. The viewing will take place October 28th at 11:00 with a celebration of life immediately following.

A heart and soul as pure as Chris's are very rare. We were all blessed to have known him, been in his company, and most importantly, been his parents and brother. We will always love that gentle being Chris Nelson and we will never let his memory fade.
