Chloe Weaver of Nederland, CO died October 24, 2010 in Alamosa, CO. Born May 16, 1990 to Herm and Cindy Weaver in Canton, Ohio Chloe grew up in Harrisonburg, Virginia. In July, 2006 she and her family moved to Nederland where she graduated from high school in 2008. She enjoyed high mountain hikes, ran cross-country and was a beloved member of the Nederland High School basketball team. She worked and had close friends at the B & F Grocery in Nederland. Chloe attended Hesston College in Hesston, KS and had recently moved to Alamosa this past August to begin a year of Mennonite Voluntary Service. She loved animals, cared for horses, went camping, worked in gardens and traveled internationally. Like her family Chloe enjoyed music and was a budding singer and songwriter. Her family will miss her weird jokes that nobody could understand. On her bedroom door Chloe kept a crayon drawing of the earth she made in the 2nd grade with the phrase, “The world is my community.” Her favorite saying growing up was an often repeated, “I don’t care if you don’t believe me, I believe myself.” She loved being with her family and friends. Chloe is preceded in death by her grandfather Herman Weaver, Sr. She is survived by her parents Herm and Cindy Weaver, her sister Hope and her brother Dillon all of Nederland, Grandparents Don and Irene Ruhl of Fort Morgan, CO, and Rachel Weaver of Hartville, OH. A gathering of family and friends will be held 7 to 8:30 pm Thursday October 28 at Boulder Mennonite Church (3910 Table Mesa Drive). A celebration of Life service will be held at10:30 am on Friday October 29 at Boulder Mennonite Church.
