She was the most lovely person because...despite her suffering she succeeded. It was Bobbie who told me “you’re doing it right.”   She was so young to me that i never knew her age and never thought of asking because i actually never saw her dying.  That’s how young she still is to me and her being is immortal and her words are eternal. Thank you for being a big part of my life, Bobbie Louise Hawkins, from Naropa and beyond. You will never be forgotten. 

Bobbie Louise Hawkins and Robert Creeley,who we knew both in Placitas and Bolinas,shared their
hospitality and quest for poetry with us over several years. Among other things it allowed us, who were seekers, to live many places and succeed.
