Barbara was born on Thanksgiving Day, November 27th, 1930 in New York. She was the Mother of seven children and is survived by her daughter Christine Boylan, daughter Mary Arcabasio, son Arthur Boylan, son Mark Boylan, daughter Annelle Paul, and son David Boylan. Jennifer Boylan, her second eldest daughter, and her late husband, Arthur D. Boylan, both preceded her in death. Barbara was blessed with ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Barbara will be remembered for her deep love of family and her sweet disposition. Throughout her many years, Barbara was the heart and soul of an ever-growing and ever-changing extended family. Quick with a silly joke, a home cooked meal, and usually the first to hit the dance floor, Barbara will be remembered as “Everyone’s Mom”, as she was always happy to welcome a friend, friend of a friend, and even the occasional lost soul, to a family get-together or holiday dinner. In her later years she became babysitter to many, and rejoiced in the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as she showered them with love, a few words-to-the-wise, and the tender affections that only a Grandma can provide. As her health declined, Barbara was fortunate to be able to spend a few of her final years living with some of her children, but remained the fiercely independent, yet delicate, soul that we will always remember.
A memorial service will be held for Barbara on Tuesday, January 3rd, at 11:00 a.m. at Crist Mortuary, 3395 Penrose Place, Boulder, CO. Our family welcomes all well wishers, and those privileged enough to have known this amazing lady, to please come join us, as we mourn her passing and celebrate the time we had with her.
