Tow, Wei Lun, Of Watertown, MA at the age 94, passed away peacefully at the Care One Rehabilitation Center in Newton, MA with his family by his side on November 18, 2023, a day after his birthday, due to complications from congestive heart failure.
Son of the late James Tow and late Mao Nu Lee. Devoted husband of the late Florence Tow. Beloved father of 3 daughters, Mona W. Chin and her late husband, Robert; Ellen Day and husband, Carlton and Frances Lee and husband Jack; as well as 3 granddaughters, Renée Chin, Lisa & Eric Scott and Yvonne & Brett Jaffe. He leaves behind many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Wei Lun Tow was born in Canton, China on November 17th, 1929. Unable to immigrate to the United States directly, Wei went to Vancouver, Canada and worked as a waiter in a Chinese restaurant. In 1965, Wei became a Canadian Citizen. After many years in Canada, he finally came to the United States working as waiter and met and married Florence in January 1981. They worked together in many real estate ventures owning various businesses and properties. Wei became a US citizen on August 23, 1996. Wei was the kindest person you will ever meet. He lived a long and happy life and left us with very many happy and funny memories and stories. He will be greatly missed.
A visitation and funeral for Wei Lun will be held on Saturday, December 2nd, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., when the Christian Service will begin at J.S. Waterman-Langone Chapel, 580 Commercial Street, Boston, MA 02109. Interment to follow at 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. at Forest Hills Cemetery, 95 Forest Hills Ave, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130.
