Of Dedham, age 61, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 13, 2015. Born in Anaheim, California, Warren was the devoted and respected son of the late Shu Ying (David) Wong and mother Margaret Yuu Wong. He was the cherished husband of beloved wife Susan Wong for 39 years. He is lovingly survived by three children: Jason Wong and his wife Jengie Pineda Wong, Jonathan Wong and his wife T Vu, and Andrea Wong-Iarocci and her husband David Iarocci. Also, he was the loving grandfather of three grandchildren: Julia, Jordaine, and Christine Wong.
He was the caring brother of six supportive siblings: Karyn Wong Ching, the late Sharyn Wong-Chan, Wilson Wong, Winston Wong, Marilyn Wong, and Wayne Wong. He was well-loved by his Auntie Kathleen (Kay) Chin and husband Frank, and Auntie Irene Gan and husband Wayne, as well as his sisters’ and brothers’ spouses. He was also the treasured uncle of twelve nieces and nephews, as well as several cousins.
Warren was the co-owner of Sun Sun Company, a family business which was started by his grandfather, the late Gow Sue Wong. Working at the family business for over 50 years, he was dedicated to helping the people of Boston’s Chinatown. Warren lived for his family – he was hard working, a generous provider, and always loved unconditionally. He was deeply respected for his integrity and caring nature. Warren will truly be missed by all of his family and many friends.
There will be a funeral service at Boston Harborside Home of J.S. Waterman & Sons-Waring-Langone, 580 Commercial St., Boston, Tuesday, May 19, at 9:30am followed by a procession to Forest Hills Cemetery. Family will receive friends and relatives at 9:00am prior to the service. Visitation on Monday, May 18th, from 5pm to 9pm. Parking attendants will be on duty.
