Silvio S. Susi, age 87, formerly of the North End in Boston, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 23, 2024. Born in Sulmona on November 1, 1937, he was the beloved son of the late Franco and Enrica (DiCenso) Susi. Silvio was a devoted husband to Gina Susi for 57 wonderful years. He is survived by his son, Piero, and daughter-in-law, Stefania Susi, of Melrose. Silvio took great joy in being a loving nonno to his grandchildren: Silvio, Luca, and Marco.
He was a cherished brother to Luisa DiCenso and her late husband, Domenico, of Sulmona, as well as to Domenico Susi and his wife, Anna, of Medford. Additionally, he was a devoted brother-in-law to Frank Susi and his wife, Adriana, of the North End, and to Delio Susi and his wife, Portia, of Florida and his late wife Amelia Susi.
Silvio leaves behind a large family, including many nieces and nephews: Franco D., Enrica, Tiziana, Franco S., Giancarlo, Rita, Tony, Franca, Delio, and David, all of whom will forever hold him in their hearts. He will also be remembered fondly by his dear friends, Patricia and Steve Ng, and their son, Dennis.
The Family will receive visitors on Monday, December 30, 2024, in St. Leonard Church, 320 Hanover Street, Boston, from 8:30 am to 10 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial. Services will conclude with entombment at Woodlawn Cemetery, 302 Elm Street, Everett. In lieu of flowers: Donations can be made in Silvio’s name to St. Leonard Church, 320 Hanover Street, Boston.
