Mary A. Romano

Mary A. Romano (DiPrima) of Malden formerly of the North End, died peacefully on December 17, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Loving wife of the late Frank J. Romano. Cherished and dearly missed by her children Frank and his wife Sharon of Wilmington, Steven of Malden, Michael and his wife Rose of Burlington and John and his wife Patricia of Wilmington, as well as 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Also survived by her sister Carmela of Medford, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Mary was a founding member of the North End Friends of St. Francis House Homeless Shelter and a volunteer member of the North End Christmas Fund Committee. She also worked for many years at the ABCD North End/West End Senior Center where she helped countless seniors and low-income families. The family will receive visitors on Monday, December 26th, 2022 from 4-8pm in J.S. Waterman Langone Chapel, 580 Commercial St, Boston, MA 02109 WITH COMPLIMENTARY VALET PARKING. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday December 27th, 2022 at 10am in St. Stephen's Church, 401 Hanover St. Boston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105
