Maria LaCivita

Maria (Serafini) LaCivita, 80, died on Sunday April 15, 2012. Maria immigrated from Sulmona, Italy in 1967 and settled in Boston’s North End where she worked at Schraffts Candy in Charlestown for many years and later at Lucia’s Restaurant.

Cherished daughter of the late Angelo & Madalena Serafini, beloved wife of the late Francesco LaCivita, beloved mother of Rocco and Angelo LaCivita and adoring grandmother of Robert, Ashley, and Ava LaCivita.

Funeral from Boston Harborside Home, 580 Commercial St., Boston, MA 02109 on Friday, April 20 at 8:45 followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Leonard’s Church, corner of Prince & Hanover St. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Family will be receiving visitors from 4:30-8:30PM on Thursday, April 19. Parking attendants will be on duty.
