"The Man Who Cares" (1967 campaign jingle for Mayor of Boston).  While my own political views later evolved into radical "libertarianism," you have to respect MA's "colonial" Yankee Republicans for their style of governance-they selected Sen. Edward Brooke, the first black GOP Sen. since reconstruction, ran women candidates, such as Margaret Chase Smith etc. A tribute to "The Man Who Cares."

John did so much for Brookline, Boston, and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.  His influence will always be felt.
