Chau-Ming Lee, 65, longtime resident of Weston, Asian American Civic Association Executive Director, passed away peacefully on June 6. He was surrounded by loved ones. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor; three daughters, Rachel, Renee and Alyssa; two sons-in-law, Travis and Jay; and two grandchildren, Logan and Connor.
Lee immigrated to Boston from Hong Kong. He attended the University of Hong Kong and Boston College. Lee had served as Executive Director of the AACA since 1982. Under Lee's leadership, AACA has served economically disadvantaged Americans and immigrants from 125 countries by providing unparalleled skills training, career counseling and job placement, ESOL, and immigration services. Governor Baker recently recognized Lee for his thirty-five years of dedicated service to the Asian community of Boston and conferred upon him a Governor's citation.
The family will receive guests on Monday, June 12 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Boston Harborside Home of JS Waterman-Waring-Langone, 580 Commercial St., Boston. The memorial service will take place at the same location on Tuesday, June 13 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. followed by a procession at noon.
