Antonio “Totonno” Guarino, 87, a lifelong resident of Boston’s North End, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2023. He was born in Montefalcione, Avellino, Italy, a son of the late Carmine and Assunta (D’Amore) Guarino. Totonno was a longtime member of Local Laborers #22. He was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Leonard Church, avid wine maker and cured his own cold cuts. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, nonno and hanging out with his friends at Café Dello Sport. Treasured husband of 60 years to the late Anna (Ciampa) Guarino. Beloved father of Assunta D’Alelio and her husband Ignazio of Saugus, Tonia Guarino and her husband Emidio Magno of Wakefield, Carmine Guarino of Boston. Cherished grandfather of Christian A. Guarino, Anna G. Magno, Luigi A. Magno and Antonio E. Magno. Dear brother of the late Teresa D’Andrea and Gaetano “Guy” Guarino and his surviving wife Cathy. Also survived by loving nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive visitors on Friday, April 21, 2023 from 9:30am to 10:30am in St. Leonard Church, 320 Hanover St., Boston with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:30am in the church. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, 302 Elm St., Everett, MA 02149. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Leonard Church, 320 Hanover St., Boston, MA 02113.
