Travis Duane Watson

A celebration for Duane will be on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at William Wood Funeral Home, 517 Fourth Street, Boonville, MO. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, May 5, 2016. A private family burial will take place at a later date.

Duane was born on Sunday, January 5, 1941 in Fayette, Missouri to Travis Peter & Oma Gertrude (Sword) Watson. He was united in marriage in Blackwater, Missouri on Sunday, August 19, 1962 to Mary Sims and to this union three children were born. Duane was a farmer for 30 years and was employed by the Boonville Correctional Center for over 20 years. Duane enjoyed spending his time at home with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his step-father, R.B. Vanlandingham.

Duane is survived by his wife, Mary Watson, of Blackwater, MO, 2 sons, John Watson, of Tulsa, OK and Rob Watson & his wife, Dara, of Blackwater, MO, a daughter & her husband, Jane & Travis Lorenz, of Blackwater, MO, a brother & his wife, Jerry & Ruth Watson, of Jefferson City, MO, 4 grandsons, Drue Watson & his fiancé, Kayla Durnil, Gabe Lorenz, Tucker Lorenz and Archer Lorenz, a granddaughter, Madison Watson and a great-granddaughter, Scout Watson, all of Blackwater, MO.
