Marie Ilene ‘ReRe’ Bramblett, 92, of Rocheport, MO passed away on October 11, 2020 in Boonville, MO. She was born Marie Hoover in Hannibal, MO on July 3, 1928 to Oliver and Anna Gilbert Hoover. She graduated from New London High School and married Virgil ‘Irish’ Bramblett on November 17, 1946. They would have celebrated 74 years of marriage this year.
Marie worked at the University of Missouri in Employee Health for many years and enjoyed those who worked with her. She was a wonderful and caring lady who tirelessly wanted to always be doing whatever was needed for her family. She loved being around the home, gardening, canning, sewing, camping and living in the country.
She is survived by her husband Irish and three children Virgil ‘Dutch’ (and Brenda) Bramblett Jr. of New Franklin, Cora ‘Lynn’ (and Steve) Townley of Rocheport, and Steven ‘Jay’ (and Zim) Bramblett of Rocheport. Marie had seven grandchildren Todd Bramblett, Chad Bramblett, Will Rapp, Nathan Townley, Kyle Townley, Tabitha Bramblett, and Elijah Bramblett as well as four great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren and numerous family members. Her surviving sister, Susie Hoover, resides in Montgomery City, MO. Her siblings MaryAnn Schneider, Margaret Young, James Hoover, and Marcella Fox preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on October 15, 2020 at the William Wood Funeral Home in Boonville, MO.
The family would like to thank the staff of Riverdell Care Center in Boonville for Marie’s wonderful care the past seven years.
