James Edward Wilkin of Columbia, 82, passed away on March 18, 2022. Private family services will be held.
He was born April 1, 1939. He was born to Emmit and Millie Wilkin in Toboso, OH. He was raised on a farm in Utica, OH. He graduated from Homer High School in 1958. He was baptized in the Utica Church of Christ in 1954. He served in the United States Navy from July 1958-Sept. 1966. James graduated from Johnson University (Johnson Bible College) in 1975. He served as the pastor in numerous congregations, in Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia, Indiana, Illinois, and Missouri.
He is survived by his first wife, Iciphene Hardy of Independence, MO, they were married in 1960, and by their three children: Teresa Neigel (Wilkin) Tull of Independence, MO and her 5 children: Robert Christopher Tull, Dustin Tull, Kelsey (Tull) Calderon, Benjamin Tull, and Anthony Tull; Robert James Wilkin, and his wife Jennifer (Wilson) Wilkin of Huntington, IN; Carl Eugene Wilkin and his wife, Tammie (Waterman) Wilkin of Independence, MO and their 5 children: Corey Wilkin, Cassandra Wilkin, Codey Wilkin, Austin Wilkin, Amber Wilkin; his sisters: Betty (Wilkin) Porter of Los Angeles, CA and Margaret (Wilkin) McMillen of Englewood, FL; and a sister-in-law Anna Wilkin of Winterhaven, FL. He was preceded in death by his brothers; Donald and Richard Wilkin.
Arrangements are under the care of William-Wood Funeral Home in Boonville.
