Bettie Rose Jones, 86 of Boonville, MO went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at the Villa at Blue Ridge. Bettie was born on July 22, 1933 to the late Milfred and Clara Coleman, Collins, Briscoe.
Services will be held at Morgan Street Baptist church in Boonville, MO on Saturday, November 9, 2019. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Boonville, MO.
Bettie attended Sumner School in Boonville, MO. She was married to Charles Jones, and raised five children. She was employed with Nordyne for many years until her retirement. Bettie accepted Christ at an early age and began her spiritual journey at Morgan Street Baptist Church. In 1988, she became a member of Jones Holy Chapel. She served as Church Mother at New Life in Christ Ministries under the leadership of Elder Wayne Jones.
Bettie leaves her children to cherish her memory, Wayne (Arlinda) Jones of Boonville, MO, Manford L. Jones of Huntsville, MO, Kenneth A. Jones of Tubingen, Germany, Cynthia L. Jones of Boonville, MO and Damon (April) Jones of Columbia, MO. She also leaves her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends to honor her memory. Bettie was preceded in death by parents, brother, Wendell Collins and sister Bessie La Pearl Holley.
The most important things in Bettie Rose’s life were serving the Lord, her family and her church family. She loved and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her favorite scripture was Psalms 23. She found comfort in knowing that God covered, provided and protected her all the days of her life. She never met a stranger and was always ready to listen and lend a helping hand. She was a wonderful friend, teacher and mentor to all her who knew her.
