Ramona Anne Caveness

Ramona Anne Caveness, 81, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2016 at her home. She was born May 12, 1935, to Richard Harvey and Mamie Lambert Dotson. She was a member of Zion Rest Church of Christ for 56 years. She was a teacher for 34 years. She enjoyed reading and her grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 8, 2016, at Zion Rest Church of Christ with Minister Tony Brown officiating. Burial will be in Zion Rest Cemetery.

She is survived by two daughters, Laura (Eddie) McElroy of Marietta and Jerri (Bob) Hines of Duxbury, MA; two sons, Gary (Lisa) Caveness of Corinth and Greg (Lisa) Caveness of Marietta; one sister, Johnnie Ruth Robinson; 11 grandchildren, Brice McElroy, Gary Hines, Adam Caveness, Tracy Hines, 1st Lt. Andrew Caveness, Becca Hines, Chelsea (Austin) Hamilton, Jamie Caveness, Anna McElroy, Amy McElroy and Mamie Caveness; and two great-grandchildren, Jace Hamilton and Jordan Hines.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Gerald Caveness; one child, Baby Caveness; her parents; one sister, Ezmarie Reeves; and four brothers, Ward Dotson, Arthur Neal Dotson, Junior Dotson and Franklin “Tynt” Dotson.

Pallbearers are Brice McElroy, Gary Hines, Adam Caveness, Jamie Caveness, Austin Hamilton, Gary Robinson and 1st Lt. Andrew Caveness.

Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at McMillan Funeral Home and Tuesday from 12:00 P.M. until service time at the church.
