James Charles “Pat” Lambert, 70, passed away Friday, November 11, 2016 at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. He was born October 21, 1946, to Earl and Lou Vada Massey Lambert. He worked for MDOT until his retirement. He was a member of Mt. Pisgah Free Will Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, gardening and traveling to the Great Smoky Mountains. One of his greatest joys was sharing that love with his only grandson, teaching him to hunt, fish and shoot, and teaching him to drive his old orange truck. Pat treasured time spent talking and visiting with family and friends, he never encountered a stranger.
A Celebration of Life will be at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, November 13, 2016, at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Glenn Jones and Bro. Bobby Christian officiating. Burial will be in Siloam Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Betty Jones Lambert; one daughter, Deanna (William “Bubba”) Knight of Saltillo; and one grandson, Case Knight.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Linda Jones; and two brothers, Horace Lambert and Bobby Massey.
Pallbearers are Bubba Knight, Case Knight, Shaun Beard, Tommy Pace, Greg Stephenson, Clint Jones, Ricky Jones, Ray Huddleston and Clayton Wilemon.
His Cousins will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home.
