She was born at home to Thomas Jefferson Windham (Jeff) and Annie Lee Reed Windham on October 26, 1917, in Jumpertown, MS.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Booneville and also a member of the Wesley Class.
She was a graduate of Jumpertown High School, Class of 1936. While at JHS she enjoyed playing the sport of basketball and tennis.
She was employed with Booneville Garment Factory, Blue Bell, and Prentiss Manufacturing Company in Booneville until her retirement in 1980.
She was married to James Boone Floyd II (J.B.) on December 5, 1946, until his death on November 4, 1965.
She was a devoted wife, Mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was known by many from all around and was loved by all. She had many talents, especially in baking, quilting, gardening, canning, sewing and knitting. She loved to share her handiwork with her family, friends, neighbors and even strangers, but to her there were no strangers, because once you met her, she became a friend. She loved music and she loved to dance. At home, bird watching was one of her favorite past times, she continued that hobby after she moved to the Landmark. She enjoyed watching NBA games on TV and welcomed conversations from anyone who enjoyed the sport. She lived a wonderful life with no regrets and it was evident to those whose lives she touched. If anyone helped her in anyway she always replied, "Thanks a Million!"
