Marion Wayne “Marty’ Bishop, 67, passed away Friday, March 21, 2025, at his home in Booneville. He was born August 9, 1957, to Conrad and Annie Pearl Bishop. He was a 1976 graduate of Booneville High School. He was a lifelong member of Liberty Church. He was part of the Crow’s Neck Emmaus Community Walk and cooked for them for several years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing men’s softball, watching WWE wrestling, spending time with his family and loved playing with his dog, Roscoe.
A Celebration of Life will be at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Liberty Church with Bro. David English and Bro. Stanley Shook officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 12:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the church. McMillan Funeral Home is honored to assist the family.
He is survived by two daughters, Stacey Bishop (Leo) and Sally Bishop (Cassie); a sister-in-law, Rebecca Barnes (Jerry); an aunt, Ellon Penna; three grandchildren, Benji Adams (Brittany) Jeffery Adams (Haley) and Anna-Lynn Bishop; five great-grandchildren, Audriee, Gianna, Jettson, Lilly and Reagan; a special niece, Andi-Beth England (Clay);and a host of other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Debra Bishop; his parents; two brothers, John Bishop and Tim Bishop; and his in-laws, Raymond and Bobbye Jean Dodds.
