Martha Cartwright

Martha Elizabeth Holloway Cartwright, 74, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2016, at Cornerstone Health and Rehab in Corinth. She was born May 16, 1941, to Hester and Rausie Massey Wales. She taught in the Prentiss County School District, at Rosedale Academy in Memphis, Northeast Mississippi Community College and Memphis State University. She was a member of East Booneville Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, playing the piano and reading.

A Celebration of Life will be at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 16, 2016, at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Sardis Cemetery.

She is survived by one son, Ray (Rochelle) Holloway, Jr.; four grandchildren, Meagan (Jonah) Wooldridge, William Ray Holloway, III, Austin Holloway and Ryvers Holloway; and one great-daughter, Aubrey Holloway.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Ray Holloway, Sr.; her second husband, David Cartwright; and her parents.

Pallbearers are Trey Holloway, Austin Holloway, Tim Holloway, Buddy Hall, Tanner Holloway and Jonah Wooldridge.

Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
