Clester Mae Smith, 86, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Baldwyn Nursing Facility in Baldwyn. She was born July 2, 1929, to Mansfield and Mary Elizabeth Turnbo Newborn. She worked for Prentiss Manufacturing and Brown Shoe Company. She was a member of Marietta Church of Christ. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, putting puzzles together and spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids.
A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at McMillan Funeral Home with Minister Rodney Livingston, Minister Ronnie Livingston and Minister Tony Brown officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery.
She is survived by one daughter, Cathy (Ronnie) Livingston; three sons, Danny(friend, Linda Hogue) Smith, Ricky Smith and Edward (Laurie) Smith; five grandchildren, Rodney (Chasity) Livingston, Daniel (Destiny) Smith, Richey (Jessica) Livingston, Brooke (Mason) Cothren and Evan Smith; and five great-grandchildren, Macie-Kate, Callan, Paxton and Maeleigh Livingston and Carson Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Buster Ray Smith on January 8, 1993; her parents; two sisters, Mary Alice Beard and Willa Dean Davis; and six brothers, Nolan, Roscoe, Kermit, Harold, Rex and Lester Newborn.
Pallbearers are Rodney Livingston, Richey Livingston, Daniel Smith, Mason Cothren, Evan Smith, Lloyd Beard, J.T. Beard, Darrell Lee Beard and Johnny Duncan.
Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
