He was a retired farmer, a Protestant, Merchant Marine, and US Army Air Corp Veteran of WW II.
Funeral services will be 4:00 PM on Monday, September 13, 2010 at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Andy Hicks officiating. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery.
He is survived by, a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Calvin Johnson and Charity Elizabeth Barker Brown; two sisters, Ethel Ola Brown and Grace Lee Brown; six brothers, Elihu Morgan Brown, Koker Uriah Brown, Dewey Benson Brown, Ural Lander Brown, William Presley Brown, and Ernest Luther Brown.
Visitation will be from 3-8 pm on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at the funeral home and until service time on Monday.
