Frances Jayann “Jay Jay” Knight McMillan, 60, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2023, at her home in Booneville, MS. She was born March 4, 1963, to John “JB” A. Knight, Sr. and Linda Kaye Johnson Knight. To many she was Jayann, but to few she was Jay Jay and Nana. She enjoyed taking “Sunday Strolls” with her family, getting out to see nature and sitting by the water. Nana loved her family dearly. Being able to spend time with her children and spoiling her grandchildren made life sweeter. She enjoyed caring to the needs of many for 20 years as a CNA.
A Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Cody Stephens officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Terry McMillan; two daughters, Hope McMillan and Heather McMillan; one brother, John A. Knight, Jr.; two sisters, Cathy Brooks (George “Peanut”) and Judy Phillips (Roy); three grandchildren, Aidan Stephens, Brayden Stephens, and Harper Stephens; one nephew, Ben Gilley; and a very special friend, Debbie Trimble.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at the funeral home.
