James Smith

James Ellis Smith, 72, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Tupelo Nursing and Rehab in Tupelo. He was born November 19, 1943 to Ellis and Flora Smith. He enjoyed cars, watching wrestling, watching TV, and hanging out at the Prentiss County Justice Center with the police officers and deputies.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 P.M. Friday, January 22, 2016 at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.

He is survived by one brother, Anthony (Millie) Smith of Michie, TN; three sisters, Eva Mae (David) Butler of Memphis, Loretta (Robbie) Lancaster, of Memphis and Debbie Wells of Burnsville; and his care giver and cousin, Lois Clayton of Booneville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandmother, who reared him, Lillian Smith; three brothers, Billy Smith, Charles Hudson and Bobby Hudson; and two sisters, Virginia Taylor and Ruthie Pearl Duncan.

Visitation will be Friday from 1:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home.
