Havis W. Chambers, 87, died Friday, November 29, 2013, at his home. He was born March 10, 1926, to Frank and Jodie B. Michael Chambers. He was a cabinet builder. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Hernando. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a former Master Mason in the Hernando lodge.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Monday, December 2, 2013, at the McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Donnie Davis officiating. Burial will be in Booneville Cemetery.
He is survived by one daughter, Cathy (Thomas) Weeks of Booneville; one son, Havis V. Chambers of Pickwick; one granddaughter, Shana Ann (Steven) McKee of Honolulu, HI; and two great-grandchildren, Hallie Ann McKee and Steven Conner McKee.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Sunday and until service time Monday at the funeral home.
