Harold R. Sims, 79, of Lawrenceville, GA, died Thursday, February 23, 2012, at Silverleaf Nursing Home in Snellville, GA. He was born August 2, 1932 in Booneville, MS to John Reynolds and Geneva Reynolds Sims. He graduated from Holcut High School and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Delta State University. He was a veteran of the United States Army and worked as an Accountant most of his lifetime. He was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan and active member of the Masonic Lodge in Paden, MS.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Gary Redd officiating. Burial will be in the Clausel Hill Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Janice Sims; two sons, John (Bonnie Davis) Sims of Lilburn, GA and James Kenneth Sims of Boston, MA; one granddaughter, Audrey Sims; one grandson, Evan Sims; two sisters, Josephine Louise Sims and Pauline Lotese Henry both of Booneville; one brother, Kenneth (Betty Whitehead) Sims of Booneville; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, James Lowell Sims; and a brother-in-law, Edward Neal Henry.
