Frankie Gene Pharr

Frankie Gene Pharr, 66, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2016, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born August 1, 1949 to Vardamon and Maye Barron Pharr. He was a retired truck driver and was a member of Zion Rest Church of Christ.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at McMillan Funeral Home with Minister Tony Brown and Minister Calvin Barber officiating. Burial will be in Zion Rest Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Shirley Gray Pharr; one daughter, Shana (Darren) Hughes of Marietta; one son, David Pharr of Marietta; one sister, Jane Cole of Booneville; three brothers, Milton (Vonciel) Pharr, Harold Pharr, and Ricky Pharr all of Marietta; three grandchildren, Ashton Pharr, MacBeth Pharr, and Zoie Hughes; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Joann Shearon; and two brothers, Hershel and Jimmy Von Pharr.

Pallbearers will be: Wesley Gray, Merle Chaffin, Wayne Stutts, Michael Pounds, Jamie Chaffin, Ronny Sappington, and Fisher Adams.

Visitation will be 5-9pm on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 and until service time on Wednesday at McMillan Funeral Home.
