Edna Parks Pharr

Edna Parks Pharr, 96, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Baptist Memorial Hospital. She was born September 27, 1917 to Martha and Jim Parks. She served as 4th District Prentiss County Supervisor from October 1978 to January 1980 upon the death of her husband, Supervisor Ross Pharr. She retired from Marietta Manufacturing Company in 1988. She was a member of Marietta Church of Christ and she loved her church, her family and working in her yard.

A celebration of life will be 2:00PM Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Marietta Church of Christ with Minister Ronnie Livingston officiating. Burial will be in Zion Rest Cemetery.

Survived by one daughter, Judy Ramey of Marietta; one brother, Wayne Parks of Dorsey; three grandchildren, Michael (Cindy) Ramey of Marietta, Jason (Jeni) Ramey of Booneville and Gail (Rob) Baird of Houston; seven great-grandchildren, Layken and Cameron Ramey of Marietta, Andie Kate Ramey of Booneville, Nikki Baird of Houston, Carleigh and Candace King of Marietta and Chasity (Rodney) Livingston of Leoma, TN; two great-great-grandchildren, Macie-Kate and Callan Livingston of Leoma, TN

Preceded in death by her husband, Ross Pharr; her parents; one sister, Lucille Gaddis; three brothers, Hoyle, Glasford and Almos Parks and one son-in-law, Jim Ramey.

Pallbearers will be Craig Pharr, Harold Pharr, Carrol Parks, Ronald Burns, Wayne Francis, Ethan Scott, Joey Langston and Travis Childers.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 15, 2014 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at McMillan Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at Marietta Church of Christ.
