Donna Robbins Bohannon, 64, of Hernando, Mississippi, went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 23, 2024, surrounded by her family at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. She was born July 7, 1960, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Charles L. Robbins and Dorothy H. Googe Robbins. Donna was survived by her husband David G. Bohannon; her sister, Deborah H. Robbins of Southaven, Mississippi; her two children, Ashley Helen (Patrick) Carter of Keller, Texas and Wesley (Leslie) Bohannon of Walls, Mississippi; Donna also leaves behind her five beautiful grandchildren, Alexis Nicole Bohannon, Bailey Kate Bohannon, Caleb Reid Carter, Kaspar William Carter, and Keagan Helen Carter.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles L. Robbins and Dorothy H. Googe Robbins.
Donna was a member of the Boulevard Baptist Church located in Southaven, Mississippi. She graduated from Bishop Byrne High School in Memphis, Tennessee and attended Memphis State University where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. Later, she returned to college and attended Memphis State University where she received a Master’s Degree in Education-Administration and Supervision. Donna worked with the Memphis School District/Shelby County School District for a total of 33 years before retiring. After retiring, Donna loved spending time with her husband and grandchildren. Her contagious smile, giving heart and loving spirit will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
A memorial graveside service will be held for the family on Monday, September 30, 2024, at the Booneville Cemetery at 1:00 P.M., in Booneville, Mississippi. McMillan Funeral Home is assisting family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Donations, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105.
