Dennis E. Jumper

Dennis Ervin Jumper, 74, died peacefully at his home Tuesday, November 9, 2010. He was born December 1, 1935 to the late Sam F. and Irene Koon Jumper. He farmed in his early years and still enjoyed owning cattle. He was a foreman in the steel building industry for the majority of his working years. He was a Baptist.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 11, 2010, at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Hatfield and Bro. Milton Koon officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Judith Browning Jumper; three daughters, Judith (Don) Perrigo, Martha (Archie) Mitchell, both of Jumpertown, and Toni (Mike) Hatfield of Kissimmee, Florida; one brother, Douglas (Martha) Jumper of Booneville; seven grandchildren, Shawn (Tabitha) Perrigo, Samantha Perrigo, Joshua (Keri) Hatfield, Judson Hatfield, Jonathan Hatfield, Misty Mitchell and Lacie (Brandon) Talley; two great-grandsons, Caleb and Clay Hatfield; niece, Renata (Benny) Eaton; nephew, Art (Mitzi) Jumper; special friends, Charles Melvin and Donna Geno.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Merle Jumper; one sister, Leista Belue..

Pallbearers will be friends that he considered extended family.

Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and until service time on Thursday.
