Dalton Jones

Sidney Dalton Jones, 86, passed away Monday, December 19, 2016 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. He was born February 22, 1930, to Jesse D. and Elise Brimingham Jones. He worked for Brown Shoe Company and Cooper Tire before his retirement. He was a member of Jones Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

A Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 21, 2016, at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Leonard Ball officiating. Burial will be in Jones Chapel Cemetery.

He is survived by wife of 64 years, Nellie Sue Moorman Jones; one daughter, Delila (Terry) Nunley; three sons, Glenn (Sonja) Jones, Dean (Therasa) Jones and Benson (Debbie) Jones; eight grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; seven brothers; and one grandson, Justin Jones.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
