Charlene Church, 84, died Sunday, March 31, 2013, at Longwood Community Living Center in Booneville. She was born September 11, 1928, to Vertus and Naomi Koon Kelly. She was a member of East Booneville Baptist Church. She worked as a clerk for Big Star and Ben Franklin. She enjoyed playing the piano and organ.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at the McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Rickey Kelly and Bro. Jim Holcomb officiating. Burial will be in Booneville Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Melvin Church; one son, Bruce (Shelaine) Church of Booneville; two sisters-in-law, Lila (Billy Joe) Lauderdale and Wynette Kelley; and one granddaughter, Anna (Eric) Jones.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Donald Kelley.
Pallbearers are Don Horn, Mike Kelley, Gary Harris, Ronald Michael, Bill Stewart and Billy Lytal.
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday and until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
