Mary Catherine Hill Goodman, 92, passed away Monday, August 29, 2016 at Landmark Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Booneville. She was born July 25, 1924, in Dyer, TN to Frank and Grace Thomason Hill. She and her husband moved to Booneville in 1955. She was lifelong member of the Methodist Church, and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Booneville. She sang in choirs since she was a teenager, was a member of United Methodist Women, serving in different offices. She served as a Pink Lady at Baptist Memorial Hospital for several years. She enjoyed raising flowers, especially African Violets, trips to the Smoky Mountains with her family and spending time with her family.
A Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 1, 2016, at First United Methodist Church with Bro. Bobby Hankins officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park.
She is survived by one daughter, Sandy (Charles) Carter of Brewer Community; two grandchildren, Anne Carter (Rusty) Steverson and Aaron Goodman Carter; one sister-in-law, Mary Williams; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Ralph E. Goodman; her parents; two sisters, Frances Taylor and Maxine Horner; and one brother, James Alfred “Buster” Hill.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at McMillan Funeral Home and Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the church.
