Annie Bell “Ann” Miller, 90, died Friday, December 30, 2011, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis. She was born December 30, 1921, to Robert L. and Lula Ann Miller. She was a retired from South Central Bell, where she was an operator. She was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis. She enjoyed painting, golf, theater, going to the opera, being involved in politics, and she loved her family.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at the McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ray Bennett officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery.
She is survived by one nephew, Mitch (Deb) Barrett of Booneville; five nieces, Luann (George) Purnell of Westpoint, Susan (Chris) Benson of Hattisburg, Betty Pace of Booneville, Linda Bryant of Dallas, TX and Angela (Larry) Pounds of Marietta; a host of great nephews and nieces; and a special friend, Dr. Binford H. Peeples of Memphis, TN.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Horace Miller; two sisters, Maxine Green and Rachel Barnett; and her grandmother, Aravella Chittom.
