Aaron Davis, 85, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. He was born September 29, 1929 in Hatchie Bottom to Commodore Paxton and Daisy Roberts Davis. He attended Lebanon Baptist Church. He worked in the furniture building for many years, retiring at the age of 75. He was a member of the Booneville Hardware Bluegrass Association. He enjoyed listening to bluegrass, especially the group “Breaking Grass”, he never turned down the opportunity to dance a good two-step. He also loved watching sports and being entertained by his great-grandchildren, especially Juju.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Doc Shelton and Bro. David English officiating. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery.
He is survived by three sons, Clyde Junior (Kathy) Davis of Ripley, Rickie (Francile) Davis of Jumpertown and Tony (Amanda) Davis of Jumpertown; one daughter, Jeaneen (Craig) Brown of Jumpertown; two brothers, Clinton (Naomi) Davis of Memphis, TN and Otis (Erika) Davis of Lexington, KY; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his wife, Betty C. “Balo” Davis; his parents; one two sisters, Vera Michael and Ruth Davis; one brother, Paul Davis and one granddaughter, Nova Davis Crum.
Pallbearers will be Hunter Brown, Tristan Michael, Cade Stewart, Dillon Davis, Caleb Crum, Rickie Davis Jr., Russell Davis and Briceson Brown. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ryan Davis, Conner Davis, Ben Davis, Kayson Hutcheson, Colby Stewart and Tanner Davis.
Visitation will be 5-8PM Monday January 12, 2015 at McMillan Funeral Home.
