She was born on September 8, 1943 in St. Paul, Minnesota to John and Esther (Hamernick) Langer.
Pauline is survived by her husband of 55 years, Harald Nielsen of Bonita Springs, Florida; her siblings, Ted (Mary) Langer of Vadnais Heights, Minnesota and Dorothy (Bruce) Rodewald of White Bear Lake, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings Joe Langer and Barbara Winters. Pauline is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Pauline shared a special bond with her Grand Nephews, Dyland Dufresne and Jordan Dufresne, and nieces Kristi Anderson Abbott and Janette (Nielsen) Stults. A special Thank You to Ted, Pauline’s brother, for supporting her through the difficulties of this past year.
Pauline was a Minnesota native. She graduated from White Bear Lake High School and immediately began working, in the office, for NSP. She retired after 38 years as a Clerical Supervisor for NSP & Excel Energy of St. Paul, Minnesota.
During retirement Pauline and Harald traveled extensively. They visited Bonita Springs, Florida often and eventually bought a home in 1982.
Pauline enjoyed walking on the beach and searching for shells. She used her findings to create pretty crafts and art. Pauline loved the Holidays. Her and Harald’s homes were always decorated beautifully. Pauline was very proud of her extensive collection of Department 56 Village pieces.
Pauline had a generous heart. She enjoyed the planning and hosting of family events and dinner parties.
