Daniel "Tim" Zimmerman

Tim was born in Delaware, Ohio on January 3, 1955 to the late Daniel Jacob and Mary Ellen (Yost) Zimmerman.

Beloved husband for 47 years to Loretta "Dodi" Zimmerman. Loving father of Brian (Jenny) Zimmerman and Jenna Zimmerman. Dear grandfather of Ty W. Greene Zimmerman (Camden Kaiser) and Brinley Zimmerman. Brother of Cecilia (The Late Wayne) Smith and Cindy (William) Saum, Brother in Law to Chuck (Pam) Hamm, Terri Miles (Gary), and Timmy (Betty) Hamm, and uncle and great uncle to many nieces and nephews. Tim is also survived by many loving friends both from Ohio as well as Bonita Springs, where he has currently resided for more than ten years.

Tim was a graduate of Millersport High school, an accomplished Carpenter, and member of the Carpenters Local Union 200 for 47 years. Tim was employed by Construction Systems Inc (CSI) before starting his own company, TZ Construction, in 1985 where he successfully operated as a commercial sub-contractor for over 30 years.

In 2017, Tim "officially" retired to Bonita Springs FL where he enjoyed making memories with family, "fishing", boating, listening to Johnny Cash, and enjoying time with great friends at the tiki bar he built.

Tim and his wife, Dodi spent their summers in Buckeye Lake, Ohio enjoying time on the lake, catching up with friends (old & new), and spending time with their beloved grandchildren. Throughout his life, he proudly continued his family's legacy at Custer's Point and never hesitated to help family and friends in need. To know Tim was to love him.

A celebration of life will take place on November 19th at AmVets Post 51 in Thornville, Ohio from 1-4pm. Blessing and remembrance will take place at 1:30. Food and refreshments will be served.
