

Teresita was raised with five siblings. She had four sisters, Modesta, Isabel, Carmen, Eugenia, and one brother, Prospero. Teresita was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her siblings. She and her siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many special life experiences over the years.
A typical teenager, Teresita had a fairly happy high school experience, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. She graduated from Sta. Lucia Catholic High School in 1965. She enjoyed some classes more than others, having favorite subjects and teachers.
Teresita enjoyed her college years as well, which may have been a challenge with all of the academics, responsibilities, and the sudden freedom that accompanied them, but Teresita was able to manage the balancing act. She earned her Bachelors degree from University of the East in 1969.
On September 27, 1980 Teresita exchanged wedding vows with Fredelito Magno Rodrigo. They were married in Oahu, Hawaii. Empathic and loyal, Teresita was committed to making her new family happy.
Teresita and Fredelito were blessed with one child, son, Shawn Cudiamat Rodrigo. Teresita worked hard to be a good mother to her son and did her best to fulfill his needs. Another blessing for Teresita was the gift of two grandchildren, Dawn and Ethan.
Fortunately, Teresita enjoyed what she did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Teresita worked diligently and did her best to succeed in her career. She was employed for many years by various companies filling different positions. From 1970- 1981 she was a sales lady for Woolworth in Hawaii. In 1984, she served as an assembler for Linakabet in San Diego. In 1985, she was a general assembler for Estrasa in San Diego. From 1986 until present day she served as an electronic assembler for HME in San Diego. She also worked as an insurance agent for A. L. Williams from 1987- 1992. She became the Regional Manager for A. L. Williams in 1987. Teresita always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Teresita passed away on August 24, 2010 in the comfort of her home in Chula Vista, California. Teresita fought a brave battle against cancer. She is survived by her husband, Fredelito; son, Shawn; daughter-in-law, Dinah; and grandchildren, Dawn and Ethan. Services were held at Mater Dei Catholic Church on September 4, 2010. Teresita was laid to rest in Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California.
Simply stated, Teresita was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Teresita leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Teresita C. Rodrigo.
