Sylvia Tucker, a long-time resident of Bonita, passed from this earth surrounded by loving family after a long illness. She leaves behind her loving wife Sharon Clayton, and her children Debbie and Gene Stevens, Daryl and Elizabeth Tucker, Derick and Michelle Tucker, Heather Clayton, and Tammy Clayton. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren, and 5 ½ great-grandchildren.
Sylvia is survived by her three sisters – Catherine (Mickey) Robertson, Barbara Burgamy, and Sandie Lackes. She was preceded in death by her brothers Raymond and Ted Burgamy, and also her husband Douglas Tucker.
Sylvia spent 28 years in federal service as an administrative officer for the US Customs Service before her retirement in 2003. Sylvia’s greatest joys were working in her garden, and spending time with all of her family, and traveling the world with her wife Sharon.
She will be missed by many.
