Suzanne K. Piniol was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Suzanne will be remembered as a very exceptional person. Suzanne was born on July 27, 1962, in Two Harbors, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Lucille K. Badger and John E. Badger. Suzanne grew up in Elk River, Minnesota. Suzanne was raised with six sisters, Julie A. Klein, Dawn C. Lysaker, Christina L. Badger, Rebecca l. Clermont, Kathleen S. Badger, Anna M. Needham. Suzanne was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her siblings and shared many life experiences over the years. A typical teenager, Suzanne had a fairly happy high school experience, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. She graduated from Elk River High School in 1981. Suzanne enjoyed her college years, which may have been a challenge with all of the academics, responsibilities, and the sudden freedom that accompanied them, but Suzanne was able to manage the balancing act. She earned her International Trade Diploma from Anoka Vocational College, Anoka, Minnesota, in 1987. She also earned her Associate of Business Degree from Anoka- Ramsey Community College, Coon Rapids, Minnesota, in 1985. On February 11, 1998 Suzanne exchanged wedding vows with Rey Christopher Piniol in San Diego, California. Empathic and loyal, Suzanne was committed to making her new family happy. Suzanne worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Suzanne was blessed with one child, Jasmine Kay Badger. Fortunately, Suzanne enjoyed what she did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Suzanne worked diligently and did her best to succeed in her career. Her primary occupation was Owner and Operator of The Vintage Attic, an antique store in Chula Vista California. Suzanne enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. Her favorite pursuits were collecting antiques, shopping and going to the beach. She was content to enjoy her favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share her interests with others. Suzanne passed away on December 28, 2013 at Chula Vista, California. She is survived by her husband Rey Piniol, her daughter Jasmine Badger, her mother and step-father Lucie and John Casey, and sisters Julie, Dawn, Cristina, Rebecca, Kathy and Anna. A Memorial Service was held at the Little Chapel of the Roses in Bonita, California, Sunday, January 12, 2014 at 10:00 AM, Officiated by Brother Rey Whitehead. Suzanne was laid to rest in Glen Abbey Memorial Park, Bonita, California, Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 11:30 AM. Simply stated, Suzanne was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Suzanne leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Suzanne K. Piniol.
