Stephen Palmer Sr.

Stephen Palmer Sr. was born to Robert and Dorothea Palmer on November 24, 1946 in Lima Peru. He served in the Navy from July 21, 1964 to November 22, 1967. On November 26, 1975 he took his bride Bertha Rios of San Diego. Soon after their son Stephen Palmer Jr was born to the proud parents on December 23, 1975.

Stephen Sr. treasured his family and did all he could possibly do for each and everyone of them. He came from a big family having three sisters Judy, Clare and Mary. He also had three brothers Bob, Paul and David. Along with his son Stephen Jr. (Sherry)of Chula Vista , he had two more sons Richard Asperin (Lynette) of Colorado and Gilbert Asperin (Teri) of Oceanside and one daughter Sherry Yafuso (Ronnie) of Chula Vista. Being a loving family man he was also blessed with 13 grandchildren. Johnny Yafuso, Michael Yafuso, Evette Asperin, Lani Asperin, Ashli Asperin, Kylee Asperin, Bu' Kosugi, Terumi Kosugi, Tamiko Asperin, Maiya Asperin, Monique Anguiano, Kayla Palmer,

and Melissa Gaskey.

Stephen was a very hard worker and owned his own landscaping business as well as worked for Caltrans for the last 4 years.

Known by his family as Dad, Grandpa, Pappy, Papa Smurf. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Now it is time for him to ride in the wind to heaven like he wanted to do. Ride in paradise Dad...
