Mr. Scott Allen Layton was a modest man, quiet and observant in his ways. He was trustworthy and traditional in his approach to his life and in his relationships, earning the respect of all who knew him.
He was the son of Carolyn Kymesha Roe. Scott grew up in California and was raised with two siblings. He had one brother, Christopher Layton and one sister, Michelle Layton. Scott was usually involved in all sorts of activities with his siblings. He and his siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.
A typical teenager, Scott had a fairly happy high school experience, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. He graduated from Hot Springs High School in 1985.
On October 30, 1987 Scott exchanged wedding vows with Lani M. Fredeluces. Empathic and loyal, Scott was committed to making his new family happy.
Scott worked hard to be a good father to his children and he did his best to fulfill their needs. Scott was blessed with two children, Allan Rainy Layton and Sean Ray Layton.
Scott was employed for 20 years by the United States Navy and through his hard work, he achieved the rank of E-5/ ABF. Scott always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Scott passed away on November 16, 2010 in Chula Vista, California as a result of heart failure. He is survived by his wife Lani and his sons Allan and Sean. Services were held at Glen Abbey Mortuary Chapel. Scott was laid to rest in Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California.
Simply stated, Scott was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Scott leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember Mr. Scott Allen Layton.
