I’m so heart broken. I really can’t believe your gone grandpa. But your no longer suffering. I’m happy you were able to meet my son. I promise I’ll come & visit you soon.  I’m really sorry. Thank you for everything you done for me these 26 years. I’m so hurt I couldn’t be there & everyone else was. I really can’t believe your gone. I love you very much  and I’ll miss you.

My very first brother-in-law.  I never told you how you tweaked my interest in military service when you used to come to Jacksonville on your many visits with Juanita and the kids.  I used to feel as if the Fair had come to town when you guys arrived.  You guys looked and lived like millionaires to me.  My world at that time was the county limits of Duval.  I was listening to every word of your travels, your 30 days of paid vacation, the job you did in the Navy, 20 years to retire with half pay, your mannerisms and your speech.  I was soaking it all in.  I wanted that type of lifestyle and you are the primary reason I served my 21 years in the Army.  My admiration and love to you always.  Rest In Eternal Peace, Sam.

Our visits were always too far apart and our time together was always too short, but the memories will last forever. Thank you for your love all these years.
