Roxanne Hearim Mun

Roxanne was born in Seoul, South Korea on October 1, 1959. She was the third child of Youn-Young Yi and the late Young-Moon Yi. She came to America with her family when she was 16 years old in 1976. She attended Hollywood High School and graduated from UC San Diego with a bachelor’s degree in Biology in 1983. She married Johnathan Mun in 1983 and settled down in the San Diego area.

She started a retail business while she was still attending college and eventually created a successful wholesale business with her husband in San Ysidro, CA. Roxanne’s greatest joy and accomplishment was seeing her children succeed in their studies and endeavors. Her home was a place of many celebrations and gatherings with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Johnathan Mun; three children, Connie Mun-Price, Christie Mun, and Michael Mun; her mother, Youn-Young Yi; three siblings, Kris Yi, Christina Yi, and Adrian Yi; her nieces and nephews; and the rest of her family and friends.

Roxanne is preceded in death by her father, Young-Moon Yi.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 2:00 t0 3:00 pm at the Glen Abbey Mortuary Chapel, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA.

Visitations will begin on Friday, July 31, 2015 after 5:00 pm at the Glenn Abbey Mortuary Chapel, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA. The family will be there until 9:00 pm to greet relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to www.stupidcancer.org, a nonprofit charity organization that assists young adult cancer patients.
