On Wednesday, July 3, Rogelio Aguinaldo, a beloved husband and father, passed away. He was eighty-three years old. He was born to Baldomero Aguinaldo and Julita Calija in Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. Rogelio graduated from high school and went to join the United States Navy. After making his way to the United States, he met a registered nurse, Donata Espanol, who would become his wife. They were together for over sixty years and had four children: Margaret, Romeo, Pamela, and Catherine.
During his 21-year career in the United States Navy, he served as Executive Steward for two Admirals. He had four tours of duty in the Vietnam War. He also worked for Human Resources as Career Counselor. He was awarded National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Awards, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Vietnam Service Medal, and Vietnam Campaign Medal/Ribbon. After leaving the Navy, he later worked for the United States Post Office for 25 years. Rogelio loved cooking, gardening, and watching TV.
He is survived by his wife, Donata, their children, Margaret, Romeo, Pamela, and Catherine, sons-in-law John and David along with his grandchildren, Joshua, Jacob and Gabriel.
