His parents were Ana Maria Flores and Jose Maria Flores. As a youngster, Rodolfo demonstrated an excellent vocabulary and command of language. He was a compassionate person, a quality that he would carry with him throughout his life. Even at a young age, Rodolfo was sensitive to his parents’ moods and worked hard to please them and live up to their expectations. He would take care of the farm animals near his home and always shared stories about his young farm life.
Throughout his life, Rodolfo showed a remarkable ability to mend relationships. This was true even with his siblings. Rodolfo was caring, diplomatic and tolerant of the feelings of those around him. Rodolfo was raised with 6 siblings. He had three brothers Ramiro, Roberto, Raul, and two sisters Estella, and Celia. Rodolfo was constantly involved in activities with his brothers and sisters. Rodolfo and his siblings had the typical rivalries while growing up, but they cared deeply for one another.
The desire for romance was always present in Rodolfo's life. Rodolfo cared passionately for Petra Flores. His deep loyalty and a strong commitment to his vows brought a sense of completeness to their marriage. They were together for over 45 years.
Rodolfo was a gentle person who held deep feelings for his children. He enjoyed having fun with his kids and was at times fiercely protective of them. He was blessed with three children, two daughters, Ofelia and Ana, and one son, Rodolfo. He was also blessed with 9 grandchildren, Genesis, Jose, Elisa, Lidia, Jacob, Jezrel, Misael, Juan, Yazline. He also had many stepchildren that he loved and cared for deeply.
Blessed with a strong sense of integrity, Rodolfo was as loyal and committed in his work as he was in the rest of his life. Though he had a tendency to take on too many tasks, himself; Rodolfo showed great patience with complicated situations. He was ingenious and trusted his intuition. His primary occupation was being a truck driver that delivered produce all across California. He was employed for 50 years.
Rodolfo took all of his personal and moral obligations seriously. Rodolfo was a strong defender of his faith. He was a member of La Luz Del Mundo Church for 70 years. During that time, he was a big participant in the church choir in multiple locations and was a tenor.
Rodolfo enjoyed traveling and going away on vacations. Taking trips provided the chance for him to kick back and relax, to visit new places and see new things. Favorite vacations included going to Guadalajara, Jalisco every year for the holy supper.
Rodolfo was a lover of animals and cherished his pets. One of Rodolfo's favorites was Fiona and Shrek, two poodles and Tosco a mastiff. They were best friends for Fiona for 13 years, Shrek for 15 years and Tosco for 12 years.
Rodolfo passed away on May 22, 2022 at Home in Spring Valley, California. Rodolfo fought a brave battle against cancer. He is survived by his children and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Rodolfo was laid to rest in Glen Abbey Memorial Park.
Rodolfo tried to focus on the good he saw, knowing that there were times he would have to compromise. He was selfless and deeply committed to all things positive and good. Rodolfo was a person who would keep his eye on tomorrow and constantly held onto his dreams. He was a man of greatness and deep love for his family and community, always ready to help those willing to ask. He was selfless and a great person.
