Ralph was born on November 27, 1938 to Mildred and Louis Venegas in Chicago, Illinois. He had a sister, Charmaine, who was 10 years older than him. He looked up to her. Charmaine was very protective of her little brother. Charmaine had a son, Craig, who was like a little brother to Ralph.
Growing up, Ralph had two best friends. He met Joe when he was about 10 years old, and Bob when he was about 20 years old. He loved these two very much. Lots of memories they shared. In 1960, Ralph met the love of his life, Evelyn Zahn at a dance. In 1961, Ralph decided to enlist in the Army Reserves. He served from about 1961-1967. In 1962, Ralph married Evelyn and went to Miami for their honeymoon. In 1963, the twin boys were born, Jeff and Ken. They decided to buy a bigger house and moved to Schaumburg, Illinois. In 1967, their daughter Diana was born.
In 1975, the family moved to Bonita, California because Ralph worked at Warwick Electronics. Ralph continued to dedicate 30 years of service in the Defense Industry, with General Dynamics and Northrop Gruman. His dedication to his jobs was phenomenal.
One of the best memories of Ralph had, was spending holidays with his family. He was very dedicated with sports with all his children and grandchildren. He put all efforts into attending every game.
His hobby was bowling. He bowled even after he was re-diagnosed with his cancer, up until last year.
Ralph and Evelyn celebrated 54 years of marriage. Evelyn has been a very loving wife. Ralph was very proud of his 3 children and his 9 grandchildren. In the end, he was inspired by his favorite artist Frank Sinatra, and did it “His Way!”
