Ponciano Galman Venzon was born December 3, 1937 in Guiba, Nueva Ecija, Philippines. He attended Guimba Central School, Corregidor College – High School and the University of The East Manila where he obtained his Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering. He received his Bachelor of Arts at San Jose College, San Jose Nueva Ecija. He received a Master Degree in Araullo University Cabanatuan City, provincial capital of Nueva Ecija. He was enlisted in the U.S. Navy in Sangley Point, Cavite City November 1960. His last shore duty was at Great Lakes Chicago, Illinois, BOQ. He retired July 1980 at Subic Base Olongapo Zambales and was awarded by The U.S. Navy, The Certificate of Loyalty for 20 years of service. After retirement, he worked in San Diego at 7-11, MTS and Balboa Hospital. In the Philippines during the 1980s he was a Mason Member, provincial address, Lupao Nueva Ecija, mason Member Mother Lodge, Memorial Lodge #90, Munoz Nueva Ecija. He was affiliated Member Mason Newly, founded lodge, 1st elected chaplain, Lupao Molave Lodge 261. Organization and Association, Lupao Nueva Ecija Barangay North elected Adviser. “NTY-NTO”- Not Too Young Not Too Old Elected Treasurer. He was the Founder, Financer, President and Treasurer of Saranay Producers Association (Farmers). In San Diego, he was the 1st elected Treasurer of the 1st Filipino/American Evangelical Methodist Church San Diego. He passed February 15. 2024 at the age of 86 years, 2 months and 12 days.
A 1st Visitation for Ponciano will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at The Magnolia Room. A 2nd Visitation will occur Thursday, March 21, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at The Magnolia Room. A Funeral Service will occur Friday, March 22, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at The Chapel of Roses. A Committal Service will occur Friday, March 22, 2024 from 11:15 AM to 11:45 AM at Miramar National Cemetery.
