Sister Paulita entered the world June 29, 1927 in Manila, Philippines. She was the firstborn to Jose and Felisa Rivera. She was preceded in death by her husband Roman C. Martin and her beloved children Malou M. Cattermole and Willie R. Martin; And her brothers, Jaime, Ernie, Pepito, and Renato, her sisters, Remedios, and Lily.
She is survived by her children, Elizabeth M. Boyd, Yolanda M. Bishop and Enrico R. Martin; grandchildren, James Randall Brantley, Melissa Martine, Sharon Santana, Shasta Mae Reyes, Joline Marie Cattermole and Kel Martin; great grandchildren Dakota Yolly Rose Brantley, Maia Santana and her younger sister, Dolores R. Romero.
Sister Paulita always had burning desire to perform her services to God. She was born and raised at the Iglesia ni Cristo so at a young age she know her obligation. Her whole life was deeply rooted in the church and devoted to God.
She grew up in the same area with Brother Felix Manalo and family in San Juan. She was a choir member in her youth. Bro Felix Manalo convinced her to be a deaconess, youngest deaconess in history at a young age of 20.
Sister Paulita also enjoyed gardening, reading and sewing as her past time. As we all know she was a fashionista!
Paulita has a visitation scheduled for Thursday, August 29 from 5 to 9pm at the Chapel of Roses at Glen Abbey Memorial Park and Mortuary, 3838 Bonita Rd, Bonita, CA 91902, a funeral service scheduled for Friday, August 30, 2024 from 9:30 to 10:30 at the Chapel of Roses and a committal service at Glen Abbey Memorial Park, 3838 Bonita Rd, Bonita, CA 91902.
